Co-existence—A hearty life

They say, in the yore, lion and goat (mighty and weak) used to drink water from the same channel without any fear or mistrust. The recluses lived in the serene ambience of the jungles fearlessly. What has gone wrong now when the humans are behaving like worse than a mad dog? The spirit of love, respect and co-existence is absent even in our family life. In the present era our faculities are not under control and the virtues at the lowest ebb. Our purposeless fights have become free for all causing indiscipline, discontentment and disintegration – all leading to sins. Some people think that enemy of our enemy is our friend and escalate tension by joining hands with them.
The answer to all stumbling blocks like hatred, animosity, jealousy, arrogance, revenge, curt words, terror, fear and anger etc.lies only in co-existence which is an unifying force of the right thinking people holding the world together. Co-existence means that you are not alone but with masses and share their concerns, joys and sufferings as one family and also face the ugly situations diligently. There is no development and fructification without co-operation and co-existence. Unfortunately, the perverted minded people have spread their tentacles far and wide and unless there is awakening and cohesive force it is very difficult to face the ongoing strife situations. In a democratic society  like ours, everyone has got sovereign right to live peacefully and in equanimity with peerless character and thoughts. Unfortunately, United Nations Organization which is a confederation of 191 countries has not been able to achieve peace on this earth. We should sincerely cogitate to make our lives fearless for advancement. We should not forget that only love can win hearts and not war.
We can co-exist in this world only when we posses virtues like universal brotherhood, service to humanity with love for all, diplomacy, restraint, endurance, calm mind, forgiveness, adjustment, tolerance , eschewing bad company and with God realization etc.
By imbibing the principles of co-existence one becomes well wisher of all and there are no psychological symptoms of worry. The decisions taken at collective stage shape the world. We avoid many pitfalls of life and religious fanaticism and flames of hatred and dejection can be doused with wisdom and tact.
Cultural and religious exchanges / debates and congregations of different of different faiths with the help of social activists/ reformers/ learned and exalted souls can bring a lot of change for co-existence and healthy living. Arranging common kitchen and celebrating festivals collectively of all religions/ faiths helps in integrating the society and virtues thus gained yoke us with Supreme Lord and to absolve our malice. Spirituality only can smooth over the ruffled feathers of life. It also acts like a tipping to straighten and balance/ fine tune our attitude towards life. If we try to align and co-exist with Nature and benign Supreme Lord the destruction and natural disasters will reduce to sufficient extent. We must throw out many biases like caste , religion, country and community etc. to enable us to live in harmony.
The author strongly feels that Rev. Baba Hardev Singhji , under the banner of Sant  Nirankari Mission,  is doing a marvelous and herculean job of integrating people from all walks of life for dignified living and solidarity through his enlightening thoughts. He is a ray of hope in the present difficult times. His efforts are praise worthy and must be hailed. The tradition of touching feet of Nirankari members inculcates the spirit of co-existence and annihilates ego to maximum extent. His mission has transformed the lives of many and brought smiles to their faces. What more?
