                                       HUMBLE PRAYER
                                                               _ A P ANAND
*Prayer is confession of one’s own unworthiness and weakness….M K Gandhi
*Prayer is a link between you and Lord.
*Prayer is a solemn request for accepting thanks by God.
*Earnest prayer does not come back but acts definitely.
*Prayer is like an arrow shooting the target.
*Prayer acts like a boomerang which returns after shooting the target.
*Prayer can be expressed through gestures, body or mind.
*Prayer has the power to face the trifles of life.
*Prayer should be deplete with selfish motive words/ expressions.
*Prayer is heard when it is humble.
*Prayer is accepted when it is unalloyed.
*Prayer is affective and its value is enhanced when it is routed through proper channels of Sat Guru.
*Pray as if everything depended on God, and work as if everything depended upon man….Francis Cardinal Spellman
*Pray and repent before God to efface your sins. God being merciful is bound to listen.
*Prayer addressed in silence, murmured and in any language reaches its destination provided it is forceful and palpable.
*While praying Lord, try your utmost to subdue and extricate the internal and external worldly rumblings from your heart and mind.
*Prayer connects us to Higher-self.
*Prayer and its results strengthen and enhance our faith in Supreme Lord.
*Prayer melts down/ thaws our ego and even the heavy heart.

*Prayer softens our attitude.
*Prayer reaches and penetrates even the hard-headed.
*Prayer purifies our body, mind and soul.
*Prayer redeems us.
*Prayer and devotion mend our ways and we receive His blessings and bounties.
*Prayer removes all tangles of our life.
*Prayer will make us mentally strong. Our adversities will turn to providence.
*Prayer will make your mind fearless. God will act like a protective umbrella and armour for you.
*Prayer with faith and love becomes rock like solid due to its compressive strength.
*Prayer makes us humble, purifies us and separates us from vices as threshing separates the wheat from chaff.
*Prayer changes our mind-set. We start liking what we hated earlier.
*Prayer makes a nestle of God in the shrine of our heart.
*Prayer springs many favourable surprises.
*One who prays God regularly does not nurse grudges against any one.
*Prayer brings with it stability and tranquility of restless mind which leads to happiness and love for all.
*Prayer can rejuvenate one’s health and happiness or say prayer is a cosmetic for one’s health and happiness.
*Prayer soothes one’s soul.
*Prayer is an antidote for our many ills.
*Ultimately, when God is with us, who can dare to go against us?
*Prayer is real when one is possessed in Lord’s name, fame and under all circumstances, all the time.

* Sincere prayer helps mysteriously, behind the scenes. It, very often, resurrects the dying person.
*It was due to an arduous penance and humble prayer of Bhagirithi (grandson of Anshuman) on a small stone slab at Gangotri (10,300 ft. altitude from sea level in Himalayas). He brought down Aakash Ganga gushing out in a great speed from the matted locks of Lord Shiva from Gaumukh, still at higher altitude and further 10 miles away, in Neel Kantha Parvat to consecrate the ashes of his sixty thousand ancestors (for “moksha”/ liberation) who died due to the wrath of Kapila Muni, incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
