Spirituality in the life of touch-me-nots

SPIRITUALITY IN THE LIFE OF TOUCH—ME—NOTS                                                                                                   __ A P ANAND
Touch-me-not is a small beautiful flower the petals of which will wilt from the state of blossom when touched. They say that beauty is to observe and enjoy the splendor of Mother Nature but not to touch as it is a very delicate thing. May be, it reacts and a sharp current of unacceptability and annoyance passes through its structure when touched. It happens so because of its sensitive nature. In the same way there are some people who react to small events and their endurance is very limited. If our nurturing is not strong enough we may be irritated in a fluke on a flimsy ground and spoil the pleasures of hard-gained life. Sometimes, we blame God, for our own faults, for placing us in utter grim situations and say, “ O Maker of my fate, please tell me this much; why are You so angry with me, what wrong I have committed.” Face is the mirror of mind and our visage reflects our inner and outer attitude/ feelings. One will not forget the fabulous and ugly events taking place in one’s life. The ugly events, in particular, will remain etched in one’s mind for a long time and haunt throughout.

The touch-me-not person is having all the negative attributes, abysmal performance and parochial outlooks. He is trapped inexorably in dangerous maelstrom/ vortex and riddled with many short-comings. He is non-co-operative and does not sail with the circumstances and is thus a left-out person, alienated from society and without any achievement to his credit. He is in dire need of cognitive behavioral therapy from medical experts. He possesses sullied disposition, uses tirade and up the ante against someone. He is an impulsive figure and stores up great turbulence and agitations in life which adversely affect his behavior. His physical system will become sluggish and haywire which will wreak havoc for him and others. He will infuriate many people with his misdeeds. He will argue and trade barbs with others and entangle himself in unhealthy conversation or strike the wrong chord with slander statement and may use varied versions of anything. He may spew or stoke the fire being short-tempered and is susceptible by emotions. He is indecisive and may breach many orders. He is untrustworthy and may even bite the hands that feed. He may lie even under oath while deposing in the court and his perjury is not only a sin but also illegal and unethical as well. Due to his bad habits, frowning lines will appear on his face and he will become incompatible person and it is effortless to hook or tame him. If he is powerful and is inflicted with egotism/ dictatorial behavior he may become braggart also and will ruin life and rile the atmosphere.
Please be careful that power corrupts a man. Apart from what is already said, he becomes hyper easily, stressed, restless and suffers from insomnia. Such persons are obstinate,

                                                                                                                                                                    (2)
peevish, non-adjustable, irksome and always think about diabolic plans and nefarious designs to shatter someone’s life.

The role of spirituality is of paramount importance and necessary in the lives of touch-me-nots to resurrect them and to lead happy and purposeful life. Besides, they require many inhibitions and healing touches and spiritual counseling. Spirituality is a perfect mantra, to aid concentration and freeing mind for ideal life style. It is a support for life. It teaches us selfless service, compassion, oneness/ solidarity, equality and detachment of un-necessary worldly things. One will take pride and feel pleasure in doing some worthy jobs. Someone has rightly said, “Do unto the others in such a way that you smile and giggle but they should moan and feel your absence (after you).” It makes us benign, suave, sober and submissive. It is an energy forte. God keeps us upbeat and unalloyed for the service of the needy. It is a guided treatment which teaches us non-violence, truthfulness, tolerance, love and bubbling acquired due to increased momentum. God is clement towards those who repent over their follies.
