BOUQUET OF FLOWERS AND BLESSINGS

BOUQUET OF FLOWERS AND BLESSINGS
                                                                                     --A P ANAND
*Blessings are like a shower of flowers of different hues and fragrance in the form of benediction on an exalted soul when Lord is greatly pleased.
* Blessings are the precious gift and reward from God, directly and indirectly, for the services rendered in His service and honour.
* Blessed are those who come in contact with some saints/ clerics/ erudite, elderly or enlightened souls at tender age and make their life meaningful. All this happens only due to our sterling “Karmas” in the past due to which we take birth and are raised in a good family, are nurtured well and are favoured with excellent fortunes.
* When God is happy even our sharp thorns of life turn soft and smooth and the cogs of our life’s wheel are lubricated by Him for smooth glide. One may live against all odds.
* To receive blessings one has to first soak in spirituality.
* Shri Guru Granth Sahib says, “ Lord bestows glorious greatness and blessings upon those who are truthful as such persons administer righteous justice”.
* We are blessed only when we surrender to Lord and leave our fate in His hands. We should surrender falsehood/ blind faith and not the truth. We should also shrug off the animal instincts.
* When you repose full faith in God, pray for forgiveness of your misdeeds, He will condone all the fury against you.
* God becomes benevolent and graceful to those who share their joys with others and also pain of others with themselves, guide and help; in the hour of need; the old, weak, children and women.
* To receive blessings from God, bow your head, praise Him and pray for forgiveness and welfare of all whenever you pass by a sacred place. Also kow-tow/ prostrate or fall on knees before the deity whenever you visit Him/ Her in person for paying obeisance.
* To receive blessings of Lord, one should always chant His magnificent glories in many forms.
* Those who receive Lord’s blessings keep their heads and hearts in unison and emotions balanced.
* Blessed are those who are compassionate and humble. They also praise the Lord for His gratitude.
* A person receiving blessings from God and elders not only becomes calm and reformed but his/ her inner buoyancy and stamina also increases.
* A blessed person enjoys inner peace and happiness.
* A blessed person’s all needs of life are met without putting much effort.
* When we are having Lord’s protective umbrella over our heads or He throws His weight or throws a protective ring around us even the vicissitudes of life become smooth.
* If you are in communion with God through prayers, He may share His bounties with you as blessings in disguise and unexpectedly.
* Always thank God for His blessings at least soon after rising from bed in the morning and while retiring at night.
* If by the time of death one does not enjoy fully the blessings, one may carry forward the remaining credits to one’s next birth.
* Count your blessings and not adversities.
