ROLE OF SANSKARAS IN FORGET--ME—NOTS
_ A P ANAND
OUR present is sanguine
or bleak. Have we ever thought about the reason? Unfortunately, we rarely think about such
things which have bearings on our life. We also know that our past is gone and
the present will become future and the future is unpredictable. Still, we worry
about the present and future without honing ourselves to feel less pain and
remain charmed and be grateful to Lord who has blessed a lot of kitty to us.
Shrimad Bhagavad Gita has stressed on ‘Karma’ yoga which is a perfect answer to
our all evils. Life exists between birth and death and both are controlled by
Supreme Lord through His unseen reins and if He becomes favourable then earth
will become heaven. If we don’t care for the precious time at our disposal
during life time, we will wring hands in despair and remain in the whirlpool of
births and deaths. As said before, our life’s present and future veers around
our ‘karma’ (deeds), good or bad. Lucky are those whose good karmas and
‘sanskaras’ (nurturing/ predisposition) is genetic/ hereditary. Due to this
reason, some are precocious brats with a sound mind-set like Abhimanu of
Mahabharta epic and son of Arjuna and Subhadra (sister of Lord Krishna). He
learnt many tact and traits even while in the womb of mother. We often say about
such people, “Promising saplings have slender and fructifying leaves.” Once the
‘sanskaras’ firm up/ take deep roots in the formative years, it is difficult to
change them later on without will-power and guidance of a preceptor. We also
learn a lot from the company we keep. The ‘guru’ (preceptor) demystifies our
foggy vision and changes its direction for betterment. The parents should also
keep an eye over the activities of their children to build up their result
oriented character. Such able and robust children shine in life and gain a
frontal/ commanding position, remain enthusiastic and potent. They are very
helpful in certain awkward and scary situations like paroxysm/ catastrophe etc.
as they believe in oneness and will never meddle into or criticize the religion
etc. of others. Quran 109:06 rightly says, “For you, your religion; for me,
mine.”

A qualitative Forget-me-not is a
down-to-earth personality with striking presentable and sought-after figure. He
will give wings to his dreams and possesses buoyant spirits. He is fascinating
and will work with diligence and commitment. He will sustain many unexpected
shocks. He being a positive man and a result/ goal oriented, his mind will
remain uncluttered and vision transcendental. His morale will remain high and
abilities will flower into passion. He will always take a pragmatic stance,
will put his duties before anything else and thus is humbled by one and all. He
is also considered as a true Karma Yogi (Gita, Chapter 06). He possesses traits
of magnanimity, will remain in the loop of good and honourable persons. His
track record being praise worthy, ideas and vision tactical, he will bring
peace and tranquility everywhere with conciliatory tones. He will bury the
hatchet over the past. In short, he will feel himself at the top of the world.
The Forget-me-not is
friend of all and foe of none, can face the upheavals of life and thus endear of all. He can easily merge even
in unparalleled society and will thus be able to strike a balance between the
opposing parties. His ways of doing things and dealing with people are
salubrious (good for health). He is humorous, social, bonhomie, forward coming,
sports smiles and is of charming nature.
He is ever living and
does not question the caste, creed or religion of anyone but is concerned only
about the welfare of all. He can avoid rebellion and negotiate amicable
settlement in tumultuous and violent matters as he is not a fledging
(inexperienced) person. He will achieve a crowning glory due to his sincere and
rightful efforts. He should, therefore, not remain an unsung hero.

The death of such a
graceful person is nothing but martyrdom, in war or peace for the services rendered
by him. The war memorials (cenotaphs) / tombs/ temples/ shrines/ pilgrimages
and museums are erected in their memory and they are always remembered on
particular occasions.
May God produce some
daring and worthy people for us to live on this earth peacefully and happily.
